Profile

Gary Robbins, a governmental affairs consultant to Foulston Siefkin’s Governmental Affairs & Public Policy practice group, provides legislative monitoring and lobbying services for Foulston’s governmental affairs and public policy clients. The group also publishes the weekly Kansas Legislative Insights (KLI) newsletter during the session. Robbins is co-editor of KLI. 

Robbins has served in advocacy positions with healthcare associations throughout his career and directed continuing legal education for the Kansas Bar Association. Most recently he was executive director of the Kansas Optometric Association before becoming a consulting lobbyist. In 2016, Robbins was honored with the American Optometric Association’s President’s Award for his service on the AOA State Government Relations Committee and AOA Workforce Study Expert Panel. 

Robbins holds a bachelor of arts in history and political science from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas, and a master’s degree in economics from Wichita State University. He is a Certified Association Executive. Robbins is not licensed to practice law.

Active in his community, Robbins has served on the Great Plains United Methodist Church Board of Ordained Ministry and as the Master of Ceremonies for the Kansas Prayer Breakfast. He was a member of United Methodist Youthville’s board of directors (now EmberHope) for nine years and is a past president of Topeka Fellowship.
