Foulston Siefkin LLP Adds Six Associates in Kansas and KC Metro Area

WICHITA, Kan. – Each of Foulston Siefkin LLP’s three offices in Kansas added attorneys as six new associates joined the firm, bringing the firm’s attorney roster to more than 90. Cameron Bernard is based in Kansas City, Andrew Wiederholt is based in Topeka, and Luke Kennedy, Lauren Page, Keiteyana Parks, and Jacob Schmidt work out of the firm’s Wichita office.

Cameron Bernard is an associate in the firm’s litigation and employment practice group. He frequently practices in the areas of insurance defense, employment, and government liability as well as appellate practice in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels. Cameron joins Foulston from a reputable defense firm in Topeka with additional prior experience as a research attorney for the Kansas Court of Appeals. In addition to his Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law, Cameron also earned an advanced degree in worldview studies from the Institute for Christian Studies in Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from the University of Kansas.

Luke Kennedy is an associate in the firm’s transactional and business law practice group. He works with clients in the execution of contracts, entity formation documents, and research related to changes in the corporate legal landscape. A graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law, Luke served as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Corporation Law. During law school, he also researched scholarship focused on the interplay between legal systems and mass atrocities, interned for the Hon. Willie J. Epps at the U.S. District for the Western District of Missouri, and was a Foulston summer associate. Luke’s undergraduate degree from Kansas State University is a Bachelor of Science in biology.

Lauren Page is an associate in the firm’s healthcare practice group, where she helps clients in compliance matters and drafts contracts and agreements for healthcare providers. Lauren graduated Order of the Coif from the University of Kansas School of Law, served as Articles Editor and Staff Editor for the Kansas Law Review, and was selected as a J.L. Weigand Trust Scholar. Interested in healthcare law from the start, she was a Foulston summer associate for two years and began assisting with client documents and memoranda for healthcare providers related to compliance, real estate, and reimbursement during law school. Lauren earned a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from MidAmerica Nazarene University.

Keiteyana Parks works in Wichita’s transactional and business law practice group, assisting clients with a broad range of transactional matters, including contract preparation and organizational documents. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law and served as a legal intern in public, private, and in-house offices in various areas of law, including two years as a summer associate with Foulston. After graduating from Kansas State University, where she competed as a track and field student-athlete, Keiteyana taught first grade in the Tulsa Public School district before turning to law; she remains interested in educational equity.

Jacob Schmidt is an associate with the firm’s litigation practice group. He works with clients on a broad range of litigation matters, including insurance defense and commercial disputes. Jake received his Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law, graduating Order of the Coif. While in law school, he served as an Articles Editor for the Kansas Law Review and was a member of the Moot Court Council. His experience includes insight into the operations of the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas, where he clerked for the Hon. Eric F. Melgren in Wichita and served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Holly L. Teeter in Topeka. A Foulston summer associate in 2022, Jake is a graduate of the University of Kansas, earning a Bachelor of Arts in economics.

Andrew Wiederholt brings his experience as a professional engineer to Foulston’s litigation practice group. Before earning his Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law, Andrew was a senior project engineer for Barlett & West, where he handled public works infrastructure design and construction projects for local and state entities and enjoyed working with local governments and design and construction professionals. He advises clients on construction and engineering-related matters. Andrew’s two undergraduate degrees are a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Kansas State University and a Bachelor of Science in physics from Bethel College.
