Profile

Connor Thompson is an energy and natural resources attorney in Foulston’s Kansas City office. Connor represents and advises clients on matters related to energy use and development, public utilities, oil and gas, land use, carbon management, and appellate litigation. He has participated in numerous administrative proceedings at the Kansas Corporation Commission and worked with clients drafting contracts, resolving contract disputes, and developing forward-looking energy policy. He also represents clients in quiet title lawsuits and oil and gas lease disputes. 

Connor received his J.D. from the University of Wyoming College of Law and is currently Research Faculty for the University of Houston Law Center and the Center for Carbon Management in Energy, developing and assessing policy and commercial solutions to carbon management. His government, private sector, and academic experience positions him to assist clients in understanding and managing rules and regulations involving the energy industry and carbon management.  

In his free time, Connor enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors.
