2020 Employment Law Institute (Webinar Series)
For more than 25 years, the annual Employment Law Institute has brought together human resource professionals, business owners, executives, and managers in a wide range of industries across this region to learn about the latest legal developments, best practices, and strategies to make their organizations legally compliant and employers of choice. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we were unable to proceed with our scheduled live event in May.
We are excited to announce that the show will go on, and we will still deliver the same timely and relevant content you've come to expect, but through a different platform – the 2020 Employment Law Institute Webinar Series.
We have repackaged our one-day live seminar into a series of one-hour webinars over the noon hour to cover the same variety of topics but delivered to your desktop in bite-sized sessions. The kickoff session — Avoiding Common Employment Law Missteps in the New COVID World — will cover issues that should be on every employer's mind. Plan now to get your Zoom face on and join us for the 2020 series, starting June 23 and running through mid-August. Registrants will receive downloadable materials to use as a desk resource and will also have access to view recorded versions of all sessions online at their convenience. HRCI, SHRM, and Kansas and Missouri CLE credit will be requested for live webinar participants; see details below.
The registration fee is $150 and includes live and recorded access and downloadable materials for all six sessions in the series. If you are seeking continuing education credit, please be sure to review the details in the Certification section below.
All webinars will begin at noon CDT. The full series schedule with topic descriptions can be viewed here.

Foulston Siefkin LLP is recognized by SHRM to offer SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP professional development credits (PDCs). Each session will be submitted for review. The series sessions will also be submitted for review of CLE credit for attorneys in Kansas and Missouri.
Please identify your continuing education (CE) preferences in your registration. We will submit Kansas CLE credit for attendees who need it after verifying participation in the live webinar session. We will distribute SHRM activity numbers, HRCI activity numbers, and certificates of completion via email after verifying attendee participation in the live webinar session.
Note: Due to the webinar format, attendees who wish to receive CE credit must (1) attend the webinar's live presentation and (2) attend individually on their own device using the link received in registration. Registrants who (1) view the recorded version of the presentation or (2) join the live presentation with a group or other person on a shared device are not eligible for CE credit.

We are already looking forward to getting this group back together in 2021. In the meantime, we are carefully monitoring the latest guidance from the CDC and other government sources regarding COVID-19, and employers can continue to follow Foulston’s latest substantive updates here.
