Types of payors: private/governmental.

Breaking it Down: Governing and Operational Documents for Health Care Organizations. Medical staff bylaws, rules, and regulations; hospital policies, procedures, rules, and regulations; compliance plans; risk management plans.

Advanced Directives and End of Life Issues. Informed consent; advanced directives, including living will and power of attorney; court appointed guardian; DNR.

Special Patients: Consent, Privacy, and Management.  “Things to know” and “recurring issues” when dealing with the mentally ill, minors, guardians and conservators.  HIPAA and other restrictions on the release of medical records containing mental health information.

Employment Law Basics. At-will employment, employee handbooks, and discrimination claims.

When and Where The Seminar Will Be Held?

Our seminar will be offered on Friday, April 11, 2008, in Salina, Kansas at the Holiday Inn, from 10:00 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.  Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and lunch will be provided. Seating is limited and spaces will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
