Associates

In hiring associates, we look for individuals with records of outstanding personal and academic achievement, including superior law school records and law review or other comparable extracurricular activities. We seek mature individuals equipped to handle the responsibilities placed on a Foulston Siefkin associate. We expect our attorneys to be team players and to treat colleagues and staff with respect.

We are interested in applicants who would like to come to Foulston Siefkin immediately following graduation or upon completion of a judicial clerkship, as well as those seeking to join our firm as laterals. Foulston Siefkin interviews law students on campus at a number of law schools. We also will arrange for qualified applicants from other law schools or currently practicing attorneys to visit our offices to interview with our attorneys.

Summer Associates

Each summer we hire a select group of first- and second-year law students to participate in our summer associate program. Our program is comparatively small, consonant with our overall hiring philosophy and with a view toward our future hiring needs. Our summer associate classes tend to be tight-knit groups because they do not experience the pressures associated with a large number of students competing for a small number of associate positions.

Because our summer associate program is our primary source of new attorneys, the same criteria apply to the hiring of both summer associates and associates. We look for individuals with records of outstanding personal and academic achievement, including superior law school records and law review or other comparable extracurricular activities. We expect our summer associates to be team players and to treat colleagues and staff with respect.
