2008 Employment Law Seminar

We are pleased to extend to you an invitation to join us for the 2008 Foulston Siefkin Employment Law Seminar. As a business owner, employee supervisor, or human resources professional you must have a thorough understanding of the relevant laws and regulations to avoid the liability and high costs of litigation that could result from uninformed decisions. This seminar is designed to benefit business owners, executives, and human resource professionals with responsibility in their organization for the full range of issues arising from the employer-employee relationship.

What Subjects Will Be Addressed?

Seminar topics include: employment law update, discrimination, FMLA, workplace privacy, immigration, employment contracts, EEOC caregiver discrimination guidelines, unemployment, and employee benefits. 

Who Will Be Presenting?

Experienced Foulston Siefkin attorneys will be preparing the materials and presenting at the seminar. This year we will also feature a national guest speaker, Michael McCourt, who will discuss the development of protocols to prevent and respond to workplace violence.

What Materials Will Be Provided?

All seminar attendees will receive a manual with materials for each of the topics presented.

How Much It Costs.

The registration fee is $175 per attendee, which includes the employment law manual, continental breakfast, lunch, post seminar reception and parking. You can register online, by fax or by mail. When and Where The Seminar Will Be Held.

The Employment Law Seminar will be offered at two different locations. Select the date and location that fits your schedule. On Thursday, May 1st, 2008, the seminar will be held in Overland Park at the Overland Park Convention Center; 6000 College Boulevard.  On Thursday, May 8th, 2008, the seminar will be held at the Wichita Hyatt Regency Hotel, 400 W. Waterman.

Certification.

The 2008 Foulston Siefkin Employment Law Seminar has been submitted for credit, and has been credited in the past for recertification general credit hours noted above toward PHR, SPHR, and GPHR recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI).  For more information about certification or recertification, please visit the HRCI homepage at www.hrci.org.
